The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone: the pervasiveness and severity of the novel coronavirus has impacted entire industries, changed how students learn and employees work, and taken a devastating toll—with over 280 thousand deaths and counting in the United States alone. COVID-19 has disproportionately affected the most vulnerable communities: those who are immunocompromised, the elderly, essential employees, and frontline workers. Among these, one group in particular has been drastically affected: the prison custody population.
